Huawei has been prolific in launching smartphones in the past 1 month. We’ve seen the Mate 10 family, the Honor 7X, and the Honor 9i go official in the past days. But we’re still not done yet. We’re still about to see at least 2 launches. We recently saw the Honor V10 hit some 250k registrations. The other is the new kid on the rumour mill, the Nova 2s. We’ve seen some images of the full-screen handset leak online. Now we have an official launch date.
The Nova 2s, a likely Nova 2 successor will be unwrapped on December 7. Official teasers of the launch have been shared byHuawei, which is coincidentally also the launch date of the Redmi 5/5 Plus. The teaser gives us hints of a dual camera setup on the device. Remarkably, we’re expecting dual cameras on the front and the rear. The Nova 2s has already passed the TENAA hurdle. The images we have seen there show a dual rear camera module. So, that is confirmed. Also, the display follows recent trends of an 18:9 aspect ratio design. However, the Nova 2s still manages to pack the fingerprint at the front despite the thin bezels.
Based on speculation, the Nova 2s will feature a 6-inch thin bezel display, a powerful Kirin 960 chip, and an ample 6 GB of RAM. The camera department will see a 20MP + 16MP setup at the rear. The recent face unlock teased by Huawei on the v10 launch stage is also expected to grace the phone. We aren’t sure if it will run Android Oreo, but rumours say it runs on EMUI 8.0.
