Oppo has been known for blatantly copying Apple’s designs in the recent years. However, the brand has also innovated in the industry bringing great features to smartphones from time to time. Case in point VOOC charge that came with the Oppo Find series. When it launched in 2014, the Find series was a rare breed of phones that had fast charge. And it was an industry-leading tech with record speed fast charging.
Since then, the Find series has disappeared for 3 years. Now, it seems Oppo might finally bring the flagship series back to life in 2018. This isn’t the first time in three years such rumours have popped up for the Find series which is why we’re sceptical.
A fresh report from a Chinese tech portal, TechNode claims that Oppo might launch the phone this year with Super VOOC charge. If you’re not aware, Super VOOC is the second gen fast charge perfected to give 100% charge in 15 minutes. That is in relation to a battery of 2,500 mAh capacity. It was demoed back in 2016 at MWC but since then went off the radar.
The Find 7 was one of the first phones to sport a Quad HD display back in 2014. And we wouldn’t be surprised if a 4K display is endowed to the Find 9. Apart from the 4K display, all out flagship specs should be expected from the range if there’s any truth to these rumours.
There’s still no known dates for the rumoured phone. But stay tuned for more info as we’ll be covering this device if more details surface.
