Finally, the Nokia 3 users are reporting that a new software update is updating their handsets to Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The update measures in at a modest 748.3 MB and brings with it improved system stability and User interface Enhancements apart from Android 7.1.1.
Earlier in July, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global has confirmed that the 7.1.1 Nougat update will reach users by the end of August. It is worthy to note that the smartphone launched with Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the box. The update may not reach your device immediately as it is being rolled out in parts on a global scale.
Nokia seem to be providing good software support. HMD global have claimed two years of support for their handsets and not only the Nokia 3 but also the Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and the Nokia 8 will receive Android Oreo by the end of 2017. They are also expected to be updated to Android P following it’s rollout.
As always, we recommend you update via Wi-Fi and take a complete backup of your data before updating. The Nokia 3 is priced at Rs. 9,499 in India.
