We are just a few days away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy C8. A device with serial number SM-C7100 was recently spotted on Samsung China’s website. Now, promo material for the Samsung Galaxy C8 has leaked, confirming the presence of dual-camera’s.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was Samsung’s first smartphone to feature a dual camera setup on the rear. However, Samsung did not preserve the feature for it’s flagship devices and dual lenses made an appearance in the Galaxy J7 Plus, a budget offering from Samsung. Now, the Galaxy C8 might be only the third Samsung device to feature dual camera’s.
As for specs, the Galaxy C8 will sport a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Super AMOLED technology. Samsung will preserve it’s great Infinity display for it’s flagship smartphones and the C8 will feature a home button up top, which will double as a fingerprint scanner. The handset will be powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of on-board storage. Bixby will be present but whether or not full functionality will be provided is to be seen.
As for optics, a dual camera setup consisting of a 13MP sensor coupled with a 5MP sensor is expected on the rear. The presence of dual-camera’s will add new features like Samsung’s ‘Live Focus’, which will blur out the background thus highlighting the subject.
The Samsung is expected to launch on September 7, 2017.
