Meizu might spring a surprise and launch the MX7 before 2018, a Taobao e-commerce website listing suggests. Meizu has already launched the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus this year as far as flagships go. The Taobao listing that surfaced on Weibo eventually, lets out an interesting design and some spec details of the rumoured phone.
The listing seems to concur to an earlier leaked image which shows just a forehead bezel. It also has a dual rear camera system. Moreover, there is a 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB variant of the device. For colour options, the MX7 comes with champagne gold, moonlight silver, matte black, and cherry powder shades, if the listing is to be believed. For a flagship, the Meizu MX7 is quite low-priced. It starts with 1,799 Yuan and goes up to 2,299 Yuan.
A listing on an e-commerce website usually signals release of a new product. The Meizu MX7, successor to the MX6 was rumoured to launch on October 11 courtesy of an official-looking poster. That info contradicts today’s statement of Meizu’s Senior VP Jeffery Yang who specifically said it will come in 2018.
Obviously, Meizu’s VP is in charge of the flagship division and he knows what he is saying, however, Meizu might surprise all of us and still launch the MX7 in 2017. We will be sure to keep you updated on this story. Be sure to subscribe to us on social media.
