After the decent success of the Zenfone GO series, Asus today launched the Zenfone Go 5.5 (ZB552KL) in India. This mid-range smartphone will be available exclusively on Amazon India for INR 8,499/-.
The Zenfone GO 5.5 features a 5.5 inch HD (720p) IPS display which is not impressive as compared to other smartphones in this segment. In the imaging department, Zenfone Go 5.5 features exquisite 13MP/5MP PixelMaster rear and front cameras with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera comes with a dual LED real-tone flash. ASUS’ PixelMaster 3.0 app offers multiple modes – Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Manual Mode (for DSLR-like camera detail settings), Real Time Beautification Mode, Super Resolution Mode (for up to 4X resolution photos), Night Mode, Photo Effect Mode, Selfie Panorama, Selfie Mode.
The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 410 (Qualcomm 8916) Quad-core processor, Adreno 306 GPU and 2 GB, RAM. It houses a decent 3000mAh polymer battery which might be able to last a day. For the software part, the device comes with ZenUI 3.0 with lots of Asus apps to enjoy the features of the smartphone.

Looking at the device specifications, it looks outdated. At this price point, it competes with the other mid-range phone like the Xiaomi 3S Prime which comes with a much powerful Snapdragon 430 chipset, huge battery of 4100mAh & 3GB of RAM. No wonder the built quality of Asus is always top-notch, the device would really struggle to become the best in this segment.
