Last year, ZTE launched the Blade A2 and the Blade A2 Plus devices. ZTE has now launched the successor to the smartphone dubbed the Blade A2S. As indicated by the ‘S’ nomenclature, the smartphone is just an incremental upgrade to the Blade A2. The Blade A2S is priced at CNY 700 in China (approximately Rs.6,800).
Though it is an ultra-budget smartphone, it follows a metal unibody design. A fingerprint scanner is situated on the rear while the power button and the volume rockers are located to the sides.
Talking about specifications, the ZTE Blade A2S sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display(1080×1920 pixels). It is powered by the MediaTek MT6753, an octa-core SoC clocked in at 1.3GHz. This is coupled with the Mali-T860 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
As for optics, a 13-megapixel camera is present on the rear along with an LED flash module. The camera supports Phase Detection Auto Focus and HDR processing and is capable of clicking panorama shots. This is backed up by a 5MP selfie shooter.
The ZTE Blade A2S comes with 32GB of on-board storage which is expandable via a microSD card. The handset is fuelled by a 2540mAh battery and is currently available in a Deep Grey finish.
