The Redmi Note 5A has been under the limelight for quite some time now. Xiaomi has gained immense popularity in upcoming markets like India due to the very good budget phones it creates. With the Note 5A right around the corner, the trend is not looking to change any time soon.
Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Note 5A will launch on August 21. The smartphone had surfaced on TENNA and we know most details it. Today, Xiaomi has teased the device, telling us that the Note 5A will come with a soft flash along with the front camera.
This will make the Redmi 5A the first phone to come with a front flash. This will drastically improve the low light performance of selfies. With the craze for selfies increasing, other smartphones are expected to catch up pretty soon.
As for specs, the Redmi Note 5A will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 425 SoC and will come in 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM. Sources say that there is a possibility of 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variants with the Snapdragon 625 chipset inside. However, we feel that it is unlikely as it’s predecessor, the Redmi Note 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC.
As for optics, the device will include a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-MP selfie shooter with flash units on both sides. Reports claim a 3000mAh battery but Redmi devices usually come with a 4000mAh battery unit.
The base model of the smartphone is expected to be priced at 999 Yuan ( approx Rs.9586).
