Xiaomi’s flagship Mi series is another one of those product lines that can easily fit the flagship killer bill. The company has consistently churned out great devices like the Mi 6, Mi 5 that feature flagship processors and top-notch build quality in the past. Besides the OnePlus devices, Xiaomi’s Mi phones are very aggressively priced and can fit the budget of the average Joe. Now, we’re talking about the upcoming successor, the Mi 7. We’re expecting the Mi 7 to drop in early 2018, so here are some juicy snippets and concept images of the 2018 Xiaomi flagship.
We’ve stumbled upon yet some more concept renders of the Mi 7 today with razor-thin bezels. Having been the dominant trend of 2017, bezel-less is set to stay and even evolve in 2018. This is what the concept Mi 7 here embraces also. The top and bottom bezels are even thinner than Samsung’s flagship but we don’t think the screen is curved on the sides.
Moving to the other side, the Mi 7 comes with a dual camera setup stacked vertically on the top left corner. There’s no fingerprint scanner neither at the front nor at the back. The concept render presupposes an on-screen fingerprint reader which by the way Synaptics is mass producing right now. Other than that, there are three paint jobs we can see here. The Mi 7 concept here has a black, blue and a grey colour.
On the rumour radar, the Mi 7 is said to be one of the first phones with the Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6 GB of RAM. Also, it will come in a Plus variant too with a much bigger 6.00-inch screen. In terms of pricing, the Mi 7 might cost as low as 2,699 Yuan ($408) whereas the Mi 7 Plus might cost 2,999 Yuan ($453).
