SONY is expected to launch multiple smartphones during IFA which commences from tomorrow. The mid-year flagship refresh, in the form of the SONY Xperia XZ1 is one of them. Leaked relatively early on via a Polish e-retail site and then finally confirmed via multiple benchmarking sites the smartphone has already had press renders leaked prior.

From the leaked render above we can gather that on launch the smartphone would be available in Black, Blue, Silver and Pink. Incidentally, the smartphone was listed on sale on the Polish site with these colour options, Black, Moonlite Blue, Venus Pink and Warm Silver. The smartphone was also listed in Pink and Black colour options when it briefly appeared on Amazon UK.
The SONY Xperia XZ1 is the Japanese electronics second flagship, following in the footsteps of the XZ Premium released earlier this year. Being a refresh we do not see much of a change in the basic design lines of the hardware and in-fact SONY seems to be one of the few brands that are actively resisting the urge to slap a dual camera solution on their products. Apart from this, the internal hardware of the Xperia XZ1 reads like any other 2017 flagship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. This is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card.
Do you think this is enough for SONY or the company needs to really shake things up in the design department to stand out? Do let us know in the comments below and remember to follow us on our social media to keep up to date with the latest in the world of Android.
