Samsung is one company which likes to compete in all price segments. We have done extensive coverage on the upcoming Galaxy Tab A(2018). We previously reported the leaked images of the tablet via TENNA. Now, popular tipster Ronald Quandt suggests that the tablet will be called the Galaxy Tab A2 S. Keep in mind that the tablet is due for a refresh very soon.
Samsung SM-T380 / SM-T385 is not Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2017. It’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 S.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A2 S is expected to feature a 8-inch with the resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels. There is no word on whether the panel will be Super AMOLED or IPS LCD.
As for specs, the Galaxy tab A2 S will be powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 427 SoC which is clocked in at 1.4GHz coupled with the Adreno 308 GPU. This will be backed up by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage which can be expanded upto 128GB via a microSD card. A fairly sized 5000mAh battery will provide juice to the device.
As for optics, the Galaxy Tab A2 is expected to sport an 8MP rear camera backed by a 5MP front facing shooter. Being a tablet, the camera quality is not expected to be spectacular. The tablet will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the latest Samsung Experience UI on top.
