Well, folks, today is the day. Samsung will finally raise the curtains off the Galaxy Note 8 bringing months of incessant leaks to a grinding halt. The Galaxy Unpacked event is to be held in New York at 11 am EDT (8:30 pm IST) on August 23, 2017. It is a crucial launch after the Note 7 debacle tarnished the unrivaled Note brand and thus Samsung has planned to play it safe this year. The event will be live streamed as usual worldwide. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Specs
We’ve heard an awful lot about the spec sheet of the beast Note. It will embrace the QHD Infinity Display of the Galaxy S8 and will take 6.3-inches of real estate on the front. The phone will be powered either by the Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 SoC depending on where it will be available. The camera has been a much talked about subject of the phone as Samsung will be entering the dual lens era with the first ever device being the Note 8. The primary lens is tipped to be a 12 MP sensor with f/1/7 aperture and another monochrome sensor as well with 12 MP lens and f/2.4 aperture. It will come with 2x optical zoom and OIS.
We’ve heard the phone will arrive with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. There is also talk about a 128 GB variant and yet a 256 GB variant exclusive to Samsung’s home soil. A 3,000 mAh Li-ion cell will be fitted in to supply all the electrons needed for the hardware.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Design
The design is of the phablet is very identical to the Galaxy S8 although there are minimal changes. For example, the dual camera and the not so perfect fingerprint sensor placement. Also, the Note line molds the Galaxy S8 design into a more sharp-edged phone. It will be available in as much as 8 colors spoiling customers for choice. Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Orchid Gray/Violet, Coral Blue, Dark Blue, Deep Sea Blue, Pink, and Gold color is on the pallette for the phone. However, we would wait for Samsung to announce this before getting too excited.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Price, Availability
The price of the phone will start from EUR 1000 in Europe, although this is not the official price. We expect it to be close. The high-end models will even breach the $1000 mark. Pre orders for the US will start from 24 August and the phone will go on sale starting September 15.
