Oppo is one phone manufacturer which still has some big launches lined up at the end of 2017. One of them, the Oppo F5 is already out. The Oppo R11s is due to launch on November 2. And we seem to have two more devices in the pipeline. Those are the A73 and A79. The latter has been spotted at TENAA. As perks, the listing also gives away major specifications of the handset.
Looking at the supplied images, the Oppo A79 follows in the footsteps of the Oppo F5 with a bezel-less display. The rear has a single camera shooter situated at the top left corner. The rear is also home to the fingerprint reader. Evidently, the antenna lines have been thinned more than before.
As for the outed specs, the Oppo A79 features a 6.01-inch Full HD+ display 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution and 2:1 aspect ratio. It has a top of the line processor clocked at 2.5 GHz coupled with 4 GB RAM. Both the front and rear cameras are pegged to be 16 MP.
The unimetal body phone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and house a 2,990 mAh power supply. As per listing, it has dual SIM, 4G LTE, and other connectivity options.
TENAA listing suggests the phone will be available in Black, Gold, and Blue colour options. That is all we know about the device. The little bits that remain unknown are price and release date. However, since the phone has popped up on TENAA, it shouldn’t take long before it meets the public.
The Oppo A79’s appearance on TENAA follows that of A73 which was also spotted on the Chinese regulator’s website. Both devices have minor specs differences. We expect them to be unveiled in the near future.
