There has been a lot of buzz lately about the Nokia 2. We know that the handset is going to be a budget offering from Nokia and we even heard rumours that the smartphone will cost a mere $99. Now, the Nokia 2 has surfaced on the Bluetooth SIG site ahead of it’s expected launch in India on October 31.
Even though the Bluetooth listing provides some key information about the Nokia 2, specifications and other details haven’t been confirmed by this site. It is worthy to note that HMD global received certification for the handset on October 26.
The ultra budget Nokia 2 is expected to sport a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It will most likely be powered by the Snapdragon 210 SoC, clocked in at 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage.
As per previous sources, the Nokia 2 will feature a massive 4000mAh battery and the online listing confirms Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and LTE support.
The smartphone is widely speculated to carry a price tag of $99( approximately Rs.6,500) and is aimed at markets like India. This proves that Nokia wants to compete in each and every price point and make a strong comeback, given the trust the company has formed with the users.
