A new Vivo smartphone has appeared GeekBench, revealing some of the key specifications of the device. This model is suspected to be the Vivo X9S, that is expected to be launched along with the Vivo X9S Plus. The Vivo X9S Plus recently received 3C certification from Chinese Agency TENNA. The Vivo X9S is expected to pack the same specs as the it’s larger sibling except for the screen size.
The model number listed for the smartphone was Vivo TD1608. As for specs, the phone can be seen rocking the Snapdragon 660 SoC, which is an octa-core chipset consisting of four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. This is coupled with 4GB of RAM. It is worthy to note that it is very likely that a 6GB RAM variant will also be made available.
The specifications are very similar to the Vivo X9S Plus and hence it is expected that this phone is the Vivo X9S.
Though the specifications do not reveal any detail about the camera, the Vivo X9S will continue with the dual selfie camera that has been a defining feature for the Vivo X-series. Also recently, a Weibo leaker shared a picture of the promotional poster for the Vivo X9S and the X9S Plus. He also noted that the poster was found in one of the Vivo experience stores in China. This may mean that the two smartphones may be very close to launch.
