Lenovo Moto has sent out invites for an event that is set to take place on October 14 in Shenzhen, China. While a few new products are expected to be announced, one of the most highly anticipated products is the Moto G5S and the Moto G5S Plus.
The invitation is interesting to say the least. Apart from an invitation card, the box also contains a grapefruit! This may indicate a fresh new start or a brand new Moto line of products.
The Moto G5S Plus is particular has proven to be a great mid-range smartphone. Even though the devices were launched in India and Germany a few months back, they haven’t made it into the Chinese market yet. The Moto G5S Plus has been one of the most popular mid-range offerings in India. It is worthy to note that the devices got TENAA certification a while ago which confirms that the smartphones will launch in China.
To quickly speed through the specs, the Moto G5S sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 430 SoC and comes in 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/32GB ROM variants. There is only a single 16MP rear camera unlike the Moto G5S Plus and a 5MP selfie shooter. All this is backed up a 2810mAh battery.
The bigger brother, the G5S Plus sports a larger 5.5-inch display with Full HF resolution. It is powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 625 SoC clocked in at 2.35GHz. Interestingly, the Chinese variant of the G5S Plus will come 6GB RAM and 128GB of on-board storage unlike the Indian variant which had just 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The main highlight however is the dual 13MP camera setup on the rear which provides features like a bokeh mode.
