Motorola had launched the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus last year. The company also released the Moto G4 Play which was a budget option for the Moto G4 as well as the Moto G4 Plus. The Moto G4 Play came at a price of Rs. 7,999 in India at the launch. The device was powered by Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box, 1.2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The device has a micro SD card slot that can be expanded up to 128GB. We have reported that Lenovo promised to update the Moto G4 Play in Juneand now, this has been confirmed as the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is starting to arrive on the Moto G4 Play.
The Nougat update to the Moto G4 Play has been received by the users in Brazil currently but we can expect the Moto G4 Play devices in the other markets to receive the update on their phones soon. As far as the update is concerned, the device is getting the update to the Android 7.1.1 Nougat along with the latest Android security patch which is the June security patch released by Google on June 1.
According to the official instructions by Motorola in the update release notes, the battery in your phone should be at least 50% charged and your device should be connected to a Wi-Fi network or LTE.
