Meizu is working on a follow up to the release of its flagship Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. The device in contention is the M6 Note which will still target the high-end segment of performance while slotting beneath the flagships. The company recently announced that the phablet would be officially unveiled on the 23rd of August. And some early leaked images of the device surfaced on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo.
According to the company, exciting things are in store for the M6 Note which will be launched on the same day Samsung is holding an Unpack Event to launch its Galaxy Note8 flagship phablet. To quote the company,
The Meizu M6 Note will debut some very exciting changes for our M-series. One will be in the camera department, whereas the other is related to the processor.
Now we already know that Meizu plans to feature a dual camera setup on the M6 Note as is present in the marketing material and confirmed by the leaked images. The bit about the processor can be anything, the predecessor of the M6, the M5 Note featured a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC so it could be that the company is switching to using Qualcomm chipsets.
