The pocket-friendly Honor 7X launch is scheduled for October 11 in China. In preparation for release, the phone has stopped by Geekbench to have some of its internals spilled online. The Honor 7X appeared on the benchmarks as Huawei BND-AL10. It’s pricing details have earlier also leaked on Weibo.
The Geekbenck numbers suggest that the mid-range phone will come with a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor. This should be the Kirin 659 chip. It runs on Android Nougat and had a single core score of 909 points. While the multi-core test score was 3159 points.
The phone has also passed TENAA certification today. We know for sure that the display will be of the 18:9 aspect ratio variety. While reports regarding the screen size are contradicting. Some expect a 5.5-inch display. Others a 5.93-inch (18:9 aspect ratio) display. Having a look at TENAA certification it is clear that this is a thin bezel (18:9 aspect ratio) display.
The predecessor of the Honor 7X, the Honor 6X was one of the early phones to adopt the dual camera approach. This year, we don’t see that changing. There should be a beefy 4,000 mAh battery on the device. Just days ago, Huawei also launched the Honor 9i at a competitive price and we’re not sure where Huawei wants to fit the Honor 6X. But if they price it like last year, it will be one of the affordable mid-range phones this year too.
The Honor 7X 4GB variant is expected to be priced around $316, that is CNY 2,099. There is also another lower-specced version said to cost $270 equivalent to CNY 1,799.
We expect the device to launch within three days so keep in tune with us to know more.
