Following the all-out war against bezels this year many OEMs have banished the now unfavoured fella from their top hardware. However, few prominent phone makers still remain faithful to the old design trend. But all that is changing rapidly. The latest to follow the Galaxy S8 way is Oppo. After long-standing speculation, we have a contender for the first Oppo bezel-less device. It’s the Oppo F5.
A number of HD pics of the handset surfaced in China showing some angles of the design. These appeared in an ad, which means we can expect an official F5 soon. As you’d expect, the Oppo F5 is not an all-out premium device and is likely to succeed the Oppo F3 in the mid-range segment.
Looking at the images we can see a metal unibody phone with a single camera at the back. The fingerprint scanner is situated at the back too as is on full-screen phones. There is an Oppo logo at the back as well. The display on the other side looks great especially the curved corners. There aren’t any capacitive buttons at the front which means we’ll have an on-screen navigation bar. We are also looking at a red colour that has a black front in one of these pics. It looks like Oppo might give this new colour a try.
Talk around Chinese water coolers is that the Oppo F5 will come with a 6-inch Full HD display. Apart from that, the phone has made its presence scarce on the eagle-eyed tipster’s radars. Be that as it may, it is rumoured to launch on October 26 in the Philippines.
