The rumour machine continues with yet some more new hints to the design of the Galaxy S9/S9 + duo. Yesterday, 360-degree CAD videos of the two devices leaked online. Now, we have third-party cases that complement that 360-degree video.
As was earlier thought, Samsung will be adding more differences between the two flagship phones so as to not make them completely same. As has been the case for previous 2 to 3 iterations, the Galaxy S line has had 2 phones both of which are virtually the same except for dimensions. This year there will be even more differences that will set the two devices apart. One of them is expected to be the rear camera setup. The Galaxy S9 + will come with a dual rear camera setup while its smaller sibling will arrive with a single shooter.
This leaked case TPU case also points in the same direction. Also, the cutout for the Galaxy S9 rear camera is vertically long enough to fit in two camera modules. Another important thing worth noting is that the fingerprint is also now vertically-aligned. It sits right beneath the rear cameras in both the phones. So, for now, at least, we can say goodbye to those under-display fingerprint reports.
Apart from that, the Bixby button is still present and the beloved 3.5mm headphone jack also stays on the Galaxy S9 much to the relief of many Samsung fans.
According to latest reports, Samsung is expected to give the Galaxy S9 a detour at the MWC 2018. While an exclusive launch event will be held in March for the bezel-less duo.
