As we inch closer to 2018, leaks of next year’s phones also have started to pick up pace. The Galaxy A series usually launches in January. With that in mind, the Galaxy A7 (2018) has just popped up on Geekbench. The phone appears with model number SM-A730F. The listing reveals a potential powerhouse of a mid-ranger.
The rumoured premium mid-ranger clocked a single core score of 1490 and 4172 in muti-core. The benchmarks also indicate a massive 6 GB of RAM in the upcoming phone. Considering only a handful of Samsung phones come with this much RAM, it is great.
In terms of horsepower, the alleged phone rocks the Exynos 7885 chip that can go toe-to-toe with mid-range Snapdragon chips. The phone has been the subject of leaks some days back too with focus on design. The phone sports a bezel-less display, to say the least, as shown by these purported images. However, we still don’t expect it to be curved like the Galaxy S8.
Apart from that, few nuggets like the screen size have also leaked. We’ve had an extensive look at the design of the phones with some CAD renders. The A5 (2018) is expected to come with a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display while the A7 is expected to boast a 6.0-inch Full HD+ display. If previous iterations are any indication, they should also come with IP68 ratings. And hopefully, we can see Oreo on them. But we aren’t too optimistic. Fingers crossed!
