Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8 a couple of days back and the phone impressed many with it’s fresh approach to the dual camera game. However, what left people worrying is the massive $930 price tag. The good news is that you need not pay such a huge premium to try out dual camera’s. A new leak suggests the Galaxy J7 Plus will feature two lenses on the back, making it only the second smartphone from Samsung to feature dual cameras.
Speaking of specs, the J7 Plus is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. A 2.39 Ghz octa-core SoC will power the device. This will be backed up 4GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded upto 256GB via a micro SD card. The J7 Plus will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will be fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.
As for optics, a dual rear camera setup is expected to make the cut. A 13MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture will be coupled with a 5MP sensor with an aperture of f/1.9. This presence of dual cameras will enable the all new “Live Focus” mode on the J7 Plus. The “Live Focus” mode blurs out the background and the amount of blur applied can be adjusted even after the shot is taken. It is worthy to note that the J7 Plus is a mid-range device and hence Optical Image Stabilisation for both the lenses is not expected to happen. A 16MP front facing camera will be present for selfies and video calls.
The J7 Plus will be available in black, gold and pink finishes.
