Among the few phone makers left to hop on the bezel-less revolution is OnePlus. But increasing reports of the OnePlus 5 are pointing that this won’t remain the case for long. The most recent leaked image now comes from AndroidAuthority. And it is one of the authentic ones. The online portal is saying the image is from a “trusted source.”
The image itself reveals very little, but, the most important aspect of the phone. That display. OnePlus is expected to come up with a bezel-less phone incorporating the 18:9 aspect ratio. The render shows the bottom left corner of the handset. It has an edge to edge display and minimal bottom bezel. The edges aren’t curved and they seem to be made of aluminium.
Also, there’s a speaker grill at the bottom of the phone. Moreover, the fingerprint sensor is likely to be migrated to the back of the phone, a necessary sacrifice for slim bezels. Further, the source expects OnePlus 5T to have a bigger footprint coming in at 6.0-inches compared to 5.5-inches of OnePlus 5. That should also accompany a potentially larger battery, but that is not certain.
In the specs department, expert opinion is that the phone will arrive packing the same hardware that is inside its predecessor. We will keep a close eye on this story as it develops. Let us know what you think about this render in the comments below.
